How to Sync TradingView Watchlists and Layouts Between Phone and PC
TradingView sync needs no setup — log into the same account and your data follows it. There are only two things to understand: what syncs, and who wins a conflict.
What syncs
- Watchlists: add/remove, grouping, order — synced in seconds (Watchlist 2.0 in 3.2 made it instant);
- Chart layouts: a layout saved on your PC opens on your phone with all its indicators and drawings;
- Alerts: create on any device, receive the push on all three;
- Pine scripts and templates: indicator templates and drawing-tool settings travel with the account.
What doesn't sync
- App-level preferences (e.g. desktop window placement, GPU settings) — these are per-device;
- Unsaved chart state: save the layout before switching devices.
How conflicts resolve
Simple rule: last save wins. Edit the same layout on two devices at once and the later save overwrites the earlier. The habit is to keep separate layouts per scenario ("desktop-multi", "phone-quick") so they never collide.
A recommended combo
- Analyze and set alerts on the desktop app on your main machine;
- Use the phone app for two things only: receiving alerts and a quick price check;
- Alert fires → phone push → back to desktop to execute — avoids impulsive taps on a small screen.
Tip: iOS 14+ and Android 8.0+ are supported. An iPad with Stage Manager makes a fine second charting screen.
